Welcome to Cygnets Art School Horsham & Dorking– where young imaginations come to life! Our fun and educational fine art classes are perfect for children aged 5 and up, with a wide range of sessions available throughout the week. From after-school clubs to weekend lessons and holiday workshops, there’s something for every budding artist.
We teach professional-level art skills in a relaxed and supportive environment, helping children explore techniques like drawing, painting, clay work, and pastels. Whether your child is just starting out or already passionate about art, our projects are designed to inspire and build confidence.
Looking for something more personalised? We also offer private tuition and bespoke group sessions – either in our studio or in your own home. Ideal for birthdays, portfolio preparation, or simply a creative get-together, our experienced tutors bring everything needed for a fantastic artistic experience.

Melissa Campbell
Cygnets Horsham & Dorking is run by Melissa Campbell—a qualified teacher and practising artist.
Melissa has 15 years' experience delivering workshops to all ages from nursery school to university. She also has extensive experience supporting children with SEND and anxiety.
Melissa creates a calm, inclusive space, delivering fun and exciting lessons. She enjoys helping young people develop their creative confidence as they learn new techniques to produce amazing artworks.

Private one-to-one tuition, at your home, with one of our experienced artist-teachers. Ideal for scholarships/ college applications; GCSE/ A-Level preparation, or just for fun! Classes can follow our set curriculum, or explore topics and mediums of the student’s choice. Please get in touch for availability.
Private Classes
Ages 5+
Private group classes for two or more students, at your home, with our experienced artist-teachers. Perfect as a one-off session, or weekly group class with siblings or friends. Students can choose from our enormous catalogue of projects, with everything provided by us. All you need is a table and chairs! Please get in touch for availability.
